The world is about taking chances, and for Elizabeth, INROADS sparked that idea of taking chances. As a Sales Intern with First Data Corporation, Elizabeth found that it would be her company mentor that would encourage her to explore the world of opportunities available at her fingertips. So Elizabeth took the advice to study abroad, and it has been a great voyage ever since.

“INROADS has allowed me to have enough options to choose the field I would like to work in while also gaining corporate experience,” shares Elizabeth. “As a result, I’ve gained valuable knowledge and experience I know I would not learn elsewhere. ”

For Elizabeth, one of the key intangibles about being an INROADS Intern is the confidence that she’s gained. She’s more confident in her abilities to be successful during her internships and has even attributed her improved interviewing skills to her increased confidence. She’s even more confident about her networking skills and have benefited tremendously from mentorship. In fact, she still keeps in touch with the members of the company and has established a networking relationship with her company mentors. Elizabeth has learned that regardless of how large the organization is, most people are willing to help a young person reach the next level.
