Divanny Peña's INROADS internship experience serves as his compass in the professional world. Through INROADS, Divanny learned the leadership skills necessary to navigate professional environments. "I would not have received these lessons during my college education," he confirmed.

"By providing internships where I could put the learnings from the INROADS training into practice, I was able to find my own voice in the workplace," said Divanny. "I feel more confident discussing promotions, wage increases, and performance thanks to the experience afforded to me by my INROADS internship."

Divanny's vision is to build a community of innovators, scientists, and change agents who are fully supported by private and public resources to tackle the pressing issues facing humanity. Today, Divanny supports his vision by volunteering his time to promote STEAM fields to young students and educating them on the pathways to achieve their goals.

"I want younger generations of all diasporas to truly believe they too can aspire to those professions no matter their backgrounds, even when the rest of the world tells them they cannot because of who they are or where they come from."
