Vickie Fite’s journey with INROADS began with curiosity and turned into a lifelong career. As a student at Loyola Marymount University, she joined the program in 1989 and was placed as a public relations intern at MSL Group. “INROADS opened my eyes to a career path I didn’t know existed and inspired me to develop the skills to succeed,” Vickie recalls. What began as a college internship became the foundation for a career that has now spanned more than three decades with the same organization.

Through INROADS, Vickie learned how to communicate strategically, manage clients, and present ideas with confidence—skills that prepared her to thrive in an ever-changing industry. Offered a full-time position before graduation, she eagerly accepted. “I was offered a job the Friday before graduation for $24,000 and thought I hit the jackpot,” she says with a laugh. From that moment on, she built a career defined by creativity, consistency, and steady leadership.

Today, as Senior Vice President at MSL Group, Vickie leads teams that shape narratives for global brands while mentoring emerging professionals in communications and marketing. Her career reflects both adaptability and purpose, showing how passion, preparation, and perseverance can sustain a lifetime of success.

For Vickie, INROADS was more than a starting point; it was the moment that changed everything. It gave her the confidence to pursue a field she hadn’t imagined for herself and the tools to build a meaningful, lasting career. Through her work and mentorship, she continues to embody the INROADS spirit—helping others discover their potential just as the program helped her discover hers.
