The INROADS Internship program was a transformative, life-changing experience that prepared Betsy Lopez for success as a professional.

“The INROADS program prepared me for my internship role in corporate America by providing me with much of the foundational knowledge needed to be a successful entry-level employee in a professional organization,” said Betsy. “This included insights on how to dress appropriately, office lingo, and resume critique, among others. Most importantly, INROADS provided me with a network of other racially and ethnically diverse interns who became a support system and lifelong connections.

Betsy is incredibly proud to be Dominican American and to be successful in corporate America. “I am my ancestors’ wildest dreams and every day I feel that I make them proud by showing up and doing my best in my career,” she says.

Her goal is to make a meaningful impact in her role as Assistant Director of Americas Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness at EY, fostering a culture that celebrates and welcomes diversity. “I hope to make a difference in the experiences of racially and ethnically diverse professionals at EY,” said Betsy. “I strive to enable an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued for their diverse perspectives and unique qualities.”
