INROADS is celebrating Black History Month by recognizing the upcoming generation of Black history makers, our INROADS Interns! We’re honoring their hard work, dedication, and resilience. We’re proud to be part of their community of support, along with our volunteers and employer partners who work together with the goal of paving the way for the leaders of tomorrow. The INROADS Internship program provides internships for students across the nation, offering them invaluable experience working with Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and global leaders. To get a diversified experience through interning each year has given me the leverage to figure out what I am passionate about. At Carefirst, my manager and team members poured into me as mentors. Truly a great opportunity to form life-long relationships.

I have been challenged in ways I did not expect. Prior to joining Henkel, I limited the roles I could take and my potential career paths. But all of the skills I have gained over the summer have allowed me to realize how capable I truly am.

This role has broadened me as a person and professional, even outside of my career choice. My internship at WORKFORCE STRONG opened doors for me and exposed me to new things I didn't know I would enjoy in a career.

My internship experience has been really valuable so far. My team has been supportive and has provided me with practical experience and an amazing network.

During this internship, I was able to strengthen my critical thinking skills because I was tasked with generating innovative solutions for my clients. I also improved my communication skills.

The responsibility and ability to take the initiative in my life, gained through my internship with Pfizer, will nurture the level of maturity needed for me to thrive through future obstacles and better assist those in my family and community to make a difference, both big and small.

My internship at Partnership for Southern Equity is helping me professionally by enhancing my analytical thinking and collaboration skills. I'm growing as an individual, as I've been put in a position to go outside of my comfort zone.
