Richard Simons has served Daimler Trucks North America as President of Daimler Trucks Remarketing and SelecTrucks of America, the first Chief Diversity Officer for Daimler AG, and Head of Service. Richard currently leads a Parts Sales and Marketing for the United States, Canada, and other strategic global markets. Leveraging over 25 years of Heavy Duty Commercial Trucking and Automotive experience, he serves on the board of a Daimler/Bosch joint venture, North American Fuel Systems Remanufacturing.

Mr. Simons earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Management from Purdue University and has a fellowship from Furman University in the Diversity Leaders Initiative.  His passion for inclusion has led him to around the country championing diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Personal achievement is muted without a strong desire to lift up others. Rich has been inspired by many before him and hopes to leave a legacy of inspiring others to fulfill their life purpose.  In 2020, Richard joined the Board of Directors of the John Crosland School whose mission is to transform the lives of students who have learning differences by providing a holistic, individualized education in a diverse and nurturing community where each student belongs.  Richard is energized to represent the Commercial and Automotive industry on the National INROADS Board in effort to transform the lives of diverse talent levering outstanding INROADS programing.
