MYRNA GARCIA VISIONES SCHOLARSHIP

INROADS is excited to invite you to apply for the MYRNA GARCIA VISIONES SCHOLARSHIP, which recognizes the leadership and achievements of Hispanic/Latino students during the National Hispanic Heritage Month celebration.

The MYRNA GARCIA VISIONES SCHOLARSHIP is a competitive scholarship that rewards students of Hispanic/Latino ethnicity for their leadership, community involvement, and social impact.

The winners will each receive up to $5,000 in scholarships.
Scholarships are non-renewable and non-transferable. 

Eligibility Criteria for College Applicants:

  • Be of Latino/Hispanic ethnicity.
  • The scholarship application is open to:
    • Hispanic/Latino college students participating in the INROADS Internship Program during summer 2023 
    • College student applicants must have a 3.0 or higher GPA and meet all INROADS requirements.
    • College student applicants must meet the scholarship criteria and must submit responses to three essay questions.

Eligibility Criteria for High School Applicants:

  • Be of Latino/Hispanic ethnicity.
  • The scholarship application is open to: 
    • Hispanic/Latino high school students participating in the INROADS College Links Program (All high school grades are encouraged to apply.)
    • Hispanic/Latino high school students attending school in the State of Georgia (All high school grades are encouraged to apply.)
  • High school students must have a 3.0 or higher GPA and be recommended by a mentor, school, or advisor.
  • High school student applicants must meet the scholarship criteria and must submit responses to three essay questions. 

Deadline and Application Procedures: Applications must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM EST, Friday, Aug. 25, 2023.

Students who are awarded the scholarship will need to submit a high-quality headshot by Friday, Sept. 8, 2023.
